Adidas strikes deal with The Performance Compound

Adidas will be the official footwear and apparel supplier for The Performance Compound, a sports performance center aimed at professional athletes in Tampa.

The Compound is only the fourth facility in the world to formalize a partnership with Adidas, a statement said. It is part of Adidas’ long-term commitment to the athletic community in Tampa, Yo Murphy, co-founder of the Compound, said in the statement.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

n addition to Murphy, a former NFL player who was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1999, other Compound co-founders are Anthony “Booger” McFarland, also a former Buc, and Jason Riley, former associate director of performance at IMG Academies. Former NFL player Reidel Anthony is part of the training team.

In March, the Compound completed a significant expansion of its facility at Cypress Point in Westshore.
